Srinagar: The Kashmiri Strikers Srinagar team on Sunday secured a thrilling win by defeating Rising Stars Dachnipora during the final match of Tral Premier League Cricket tournament, which continued for several months.
On the occasion, DDC member Tral, Dr Harbakash Singh attended the final match as Chief Guest, while scores of spectators from Tral areas were also seen watching the final match, amid heat-wave.
As per the organising body, more than 60 teams from several parts of Kasmir valley had participated in the tournament, out of which Srinagar & Dachnipora teams managed to qualify for the final, after showing brilliant performace throughout the tournament.
They said that during the final match Kashmiri Strikers Srinagar team secured a thrilling win, after defeating the opponent team by 80 runs.
At the end of the tournament, both the teams were awarded with trophies & cash by the organising body, in presence of Chief Guest, and other dignitaries.
Talking to the media, the DDC member Dr Harbakash Singh has said that sports activities are very important, while he assured that he will try his best in getting the outdoor stadium renovated.
