Though working of grievance portal of the Jammu & Kashmir Government is frequently reviewed by none else than the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha himself for the purposes of redressing public grievances promptly but grievances are still galore that working of grievance redressal system is still a time consuming process due to communication gapes developing between the concerned Deputy Commissioners and heads of concerned Departments to whom the grievances pertains. Though such communication gapes are not committed randomly in all cases but very rarely in some cases at the offices of Deputy Commissioners but the resolution of such communication gapes becoming causes for delays in the disposal of grievances demands immediate attention and intervention of the Government. While grievances are galore that offices of Deputy Commissioners on receiving grievances from grievance cell working directly under the control of the office of Lt Governor sometimes don’t forward them to concerned heads of departments due to misconceptions about the nature of such grievances but to the departments to whom the grievances don’t pertain at all . Though it is an irrefutable fact that such misconceptions about the nature of grievances arise only due to communication gapes between the offices of concerned Deputy Commissioners and the departments to whom the grievances pertains as per the nature of the grievance but it is for the Deputy Commissioners to fix solutions for such misconceptions which become cause for delays in the final disposal of grievances. Though such deviations are not committed intentionally at the offices of Deputy Commissioner but they surely become a cause for delays in the disposal of all grievances but in case of some grievances. Delivery of grievances to wrong quarters as such delays the final disposal of the grievances of the people who are always desperate to see their grievances resolved in short time.

“The promptness established in working of the grievance cell at the Office of Lt Governor if enforced at the offices of Deputy with same intensity and seriousness would end the unwanted delays in disposal of grievances not in one but in all the Government Departments”.

While the main motive of seeking the right response of the grievances from the concerned departments through grievance portal in just 24 hours is to further the causes of speedy disposal of the public grievances, the causes of misconceptions about the nature of grievances developing between the concerned Deputy Commissioners and the Concerned Heads of Departments (HODs) need to be identified and subsequently resolved for the purposes of carrying forward the processes of speedy disposal of grievances to logical conclusions. The promptness established in working of the grievance cell at the Office of Lt Governor if enforced at the offices of Deputy with same intensity and seriousness would end the unwanted delays in disposal of grievances not in one but in all the Government Departments.
