Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Friday visited Aharbal fall where he took stock of progress of ongoing restoration of Noorabad Irrigation Canal which is under execution of Rural Development Department.
The ACD informed that the canal is source of irrigation to near about 1561 acres of land in more than 15 villages in Watoo, Manzgam, Mirwani and other areas.
The DC instructed ACD and concerned from Irrigation to ensure early restoration of the irrigation canal.
He also stressed to take extra precautions during the restoration process keeping in view the location of work which is near Waterfall to avoid any untoward incident.
Accompanying the DC were ADC, Viqar Ahmed Giri; ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz; ACD Mohammad Imran Khan and other officers from RDD and Irrigation department.
