Tributes paid to legendary writer, novelist, Late G N Gowhar on his 5th death anniversary

Chrari Sharif (B’gam)|: Glowing tribute were paid to legendary writer, jurist and novelist Late Gh Nabi Gowhar on his 5th death anniversary ,at an impressive function organised by Kashmir Markaz Adab-w-Saqafat
in the seminar hall of GBHSS,Chrari -sharief –
Noted literaute Prof. Shad Ramzan was Chief guest on the occasion. Principal GBHSS , Gh Mohi-ud-in Baig , noted writers Mohd. Ayub Kaw , Mohd Yousf Shaheen ,Prez. KMAS . Dr Gazanfar Ali Gazal ,Begum Haseena Akhtar ,Nazir Ibn Shahbaz ,SDPO Chrari sharief , Salim Jehangir also shared the presidium.
On this occasion this years Gowhar Memorial Award was conferred to Veteran kashmiri poet and writer Prof.Shaad Ramzaan ,who has been recently selected as Sahitya Academy , Convenor Working board of Kashmiri language. A galaxy of prominent writers from across the Kashmir valley graced the event by their benign presence.
Paying rich tribute to Late G N Gowhar this year’s Gowhar Memorial Award Winner Shad Ramzan said he took the novel writing in Kashmiri to the next level by blurring difference between fact and fiction adding that Gowhar wrote novels but hidden in these was the history of Kashmir that had remained undocumented. His novel Arg-e-Ashud is in reality the history of Kashmir from 1947 onwards wheras his another novel Gilnavith Kath tells the history of Kashmir before 1947. “ For a person who wants to understand Kashmir politics in depth , should essentially read novels of Gh Nabi Gowhar ,” Shad Ramzan observed. About richness of languages , Shad Ramzan said , now it was scientifically proved that kashmiri is one of the ancient human civilizations of the world.
Ali Ahsan presented an exhaustive and research oriented paper on some literry works of Gh Nabi Adfar and critical appreciation of some of his poems .
Gh Nabi Adfar said that Gowhar was a multitalented personality adding that cultural , social and political history of jammu and kashmir would be incomplete without the mention of Gowhar’s life and his contribution to kashmiri language and literature.
Media Secretary KMAWS Mushtaq Mehram also paid his tribute to Gowhar sb and said his exhaustive research oriented work on the poetry of Sufi saint Hazrat Shielh Noor-ul-Din Wali(RA) under the title ” Saheefa -e- Noor ‘ has become a torch bearer for the research scholars. Noted writer Gh Qadir Bedar urged the need for indepth study of the literary works of Gh Nabi Gowhar. President KMAS Dr. Gazanfar Ali presented vote of thanks. Writer and Principal GHSS,Pakharpora Farooq Fida, poets Yunis wheed ,Nazir Salik , a large number of students , and teaching faculty were also present at the event. Inayat Gul, who is also Secretary of Kashmir Markaz Adab-e-Saqafat, conducted proceedings of the function.
