DC B’pora felicitates Class 12 toppers, holds detailed interactive session on Career Counseling & Guidance

DC emphasises on importance of education as transformative Force

Bandipora : In a Felicitation cum Career counselling and Guidance programme organised at Mini Secretariat Bandipora, Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on Saturday felicitated meritorious students of recently declared Class 12 results from different areas of district.
It is worth to mention that Bandipora bagged 06 position on divisional level in Kashmir division including students from far off places of Gurez.
Speaking on the occasion DC, Dr. Owais said that the event was organised to serve as a platform to celebrate the academic excellence of meritorious students and showcase the district’s commitment to nurturing and recognizing talent.
Dr. Owais applauded dedication, perseverance, and tireless efforts of students that culminated in remarkable results.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of education as a transformative force and encouraged all students to aspire for greatness, reminding them that their hard work and determination can pave the way to a prosperous future.
He said the felicitation ceremony is not only a celebration of individual achievements but also a testament to the collective efforts of teachers, mentors, and parents who played a pivotal role in shaping the academic journeys of these toppers.
The students who were felicitated include the students from Science, Arts and Commerce besides students from tribal communities.
From science stream Monisa Bashir of HSS Hajin bagged first position securing 98.6 percent, Ayman Showkat of GHSS Bandipora and Mohammad Toufeeq ul islam of NM BHSS Bandipora Bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
From Arts Stream Mohammad Lateef Zadoo of HSS Nowgam bagged first position securing 96.2 percent marks while as Adil zamir of HSS Hajin and Mouyeen Monzoor of HSS Ajas bagged 2nd and 3rd positions.
From Commerce Amir Fayaz of BHSS Bandipora bagged first position securing 97.8 percent while as Simran Bashir of BHSS Bandipora and Sumaya Qadir of HSS Arin bagged 2nd and third positions.
From tribal communities the students who were felicitated for meritorious performance in class 12 examinations include Nargis Majeed of HSS izmarg and Yasir Hameed of HSS Badugam both from arts stream while as Atif Showkat from BHSS Izmarg and Ishtiyaq Ahmad Gojar from HSS Aragam were felicitated from Science stream.
Mohammad Toufeeq ul Islam of NMBHSS Bandipora secured first position in science stream among tribal students.
Moreover Gulnaza Bashir of GHSS Dawar was also felicitated for securing first position in commerce stream among tribal students
The programme witnessed the presence of Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Amin Beigh, Principal DIET Abdul Majeed Dar, Dy. Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Mohd Rafiq Parray, Principals of concerned Hr. Secondary Schools, students, and their parents.
JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and CEO Bandipora also delivered an enlightening speech commending the toppers for their accomplishments.
Later, an interactive session was also held in which students asked a series of questions on various career options and strategies for preparation, and also shared their ideas and expressed their concerns, suggestions, and ideas regarding education, infrastructure, and other relevant issues regarding their future strategies.
The Deputy Commissioner shared his experience with students and said that Administration is committed to promote the educational and personal growth of students.
He said their is no alternative to education, and such programmes create a supportive and empowering environment for the youth, enabling them to realize their full potential.
