ADC reviews arrangements for Amarnath Yatra at Udhampur

Udhampur: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Joginder Singh Jasrotia on Friday chaired a meeting of officers of stakeholder departments to review the arrangements for the smooth conduct of upcoming Shree Amarnath ji Yatra 2023.
The ADC took a detailed review of arrangements made enroute from village Tikri to Chenani for the hassle-free Yatra, including security; provision of safe drinking water, power supply; First-aid, sanitation, Identified locations of stay, Provision of temporary toilets, Lodging and langers facilities, Traffic and security arrangements etc.
Necessary directions were issued to district heads of various departments to ensure fool-proof arrangements pertaining to their respective department well before the start of the yatra.
The ADC directed the district officers to work in close coordination for finalizing necessary arrangements. He informed that the District Administration has established 24 Lodgement centres in the district and appointed nodal officers for each of these centres .
During the meeting, PDD was directed to provide uninterrupted power supply while PHE was asked to arrange water tankers round the clock for the yatries.
The Traffic Department was asked to ensure the free flow of traffic during the yatra.
Stressing on better sanitation and cleanliness at the langer sites, the DC asked the CEO, MC to install dustbins and provide vehicles for the proper disposal of the garbage from langer sites as well as lodgement centres. The CMO was directed to provide round the clock services for any type of medical emergency and keep record of all medicines available & required during the yatra period.
