Srinagar : The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal Saturday visited various Farmer’s fields under exotic vegetable cultivation at Pulwama.
The Director Agriculture interacted with the farmers engaged in cultivation of exotic vegetables in district Pulwama. The farmers shared their views with the Director and requested him to promote the cultivation at the divisional level.
He assured farmers for all the support from the department of agriculture as per the guidelines of HADP.
The Director Agriculture directed the officials of the department to keep a close liaison with the farmers and ensure the awareness under Kisan Sampark Abhiyan so that farmers are able to submit the application under various projects of Holistic Agriculture Development programme (HADP) on its dashboard so that maximum benefits are provided to them.
He further emphasized on the need of handholding of the farmers and redressal of their grievances regarding the handling of the dashboard designed under HADP.
He directed the concerned chief agriculture officer Pulwama to constitute a HADP cell at district level so that grievances are redressed at an earliest and a hustle free system is put in place for successful implementation of the programme and targets fixed for the year 2023-24 are achieved in full.
