SSP Pulwama chairs crime/ security review meeting at DPL Pulwama

Srinagar : The SSP Pulwama Mohd Yousif on Thursday chaired a crime/security review meeting at District Police lines Pulwama. The meeting aimed to assess the prevailing security situation and discuss strategies to enhance law enforcement efforts.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was attended by ASP Pulwama, DySP Hqrs, DySP DAR, DySP Ops Kakapora, DySP PC Pulwama, all SHOs & In-charge PPs of the district. At the onset of the meeting, SSP Pulwama was briefed by the participating officers about the security scenario in their respective areas. They were instructed to maintain extra vigilance, strengthen nakas/checkpoints, and generate actionable intelligence to counter any anti-national activities
During the meeting, several key issues were deliberated upon and important decisions were taken to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. SSP Pulwama stressed the need for proactive anti-terrorist operations and generating actionable intelligence to counter any anti-national activities, expeditious disposal of pending UAPA/NDPS cases, and robust security measures for vulnerable individuals.
In his address, the SSP Pulwama urged all officers to redouble their efforts to combat the menace of drugs and social crimes in the district. Special emphasis was placed on preventing cybercrimes and maintaining a vigilant stance against anti-national elements. The meeting also highlighted the urgent need to curb illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in the region. He further directed the officers to work diligently in preventing cybercrimes that pose a threat to the community.
Meanwhile, the special measures taken to enhance the protection of Kashmiri Pandit families were also discussed during the meeting, including increased patrolling, enhanced vigilance & community engagement initiatives.
On this occasion, the SSP Pulwama reiterated the police department’s commitment in maintaining law and order in the region and emphasized the importance of a public-centric approach. He called upon the officers to strengthen coordination with other security forces and ensure the timely resolution of public grievances.
