Police facilitates PCPG meeting in B’gam

Srinagar : To bridge the gap between police & public, Police in Budgam on Thursday facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at Police Station Khag.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Khag Insp Bahar Ahmed and was attended by respectables of Kanchatipora & Khanpora villages of khag area.
During the meeting, various issues of public importance including curbing drug menace and steps taken to curb substance abuse especially among teenagers was discussed. Chairing officer stressed upon the participants to spread awareness about drug abuse and its ill effects on society. Participants raised certain issues to which they were assured that whatever pertains to police functioning will be taken care of on priority. Chairing officer requested participants to cooperate with police in eradicating the drug menace and other social crimes so that peaceful atmosphere in the area is maintained.
In the meeting, all the participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
