Work on duly sanctioned projects worth 4.5 Cr started during follow up Block Diwas at Chararipora Pakherpora

Distt Admin committed to speedy completion of developmental projects, public service delivery: DC B’gam

Budgam : Work on duly sanctioned projects worth above Rs 4. 5 crores was started on Wednesday in the follow up Block Diwas held by Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam, Akshay Labroo at Chararipora, Pakherpora of Charar-i-Sharief, Budgam.
The works include upgradation of 8 kms long Road length projects including Shuru Karpora- Shankerpora Road, Dalwan Shankerpora- Chraripora road, and Karpora- Qamrazipora Road projects. The road projects have been allotted at the cost of Rs 3.97 crores.
The DC also unveiled the work regarding the Additional Classroom complex at the High School.
He laid the foundation stone for construction of a playground at Pakherpora to facilitate better sports related arrangements for the local youth.
Similarly, work on the Chararipora-Kadipora WSS project was also started. The gravity scheme shall have 10000 gallon Capacity SR and shall benefit as many as 100 households of the village.
During the follow up Block Diwas, PRIs, elders and local youth delegations from villages Chraripora, Mehndipora, Shankerpora, Dalwan and other adjacent villages who participated, expressed their gratitude to the District Administration for taking note of their demands and addressing them within a month’s time period.
The DC said that all other genuine demands raised during last Block Diwas program have been taken up and discussed with all the concerned departments and speedy disposal will be ensured for those demands too.
He reiterated that the District Administration is committed to ensure robust development and better facility creation in all rural as well as urban areas of the district.
The DC said that projects on which work has been started on Wednesday after their completion shall ensure better education, connectivity and adequate potable water supply in the area and people would be benefited largely in the area.
He emphasised that work on all these projects be completed in a stipulated time frame.
He called for prompt redressal of public issues to ensure better service delivery to people.
Among others, ADDC Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak; SDM Chadoora, Executive Engineers of all wings, Tehsildar, BDO and all District and sectoral officers, officials were present on the occasion.
