Meeting on revised Scheme of PLVs held at B’pora

Bandipora : The Secretary District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora, Nusrat Ali Hakak on Tuesday convened a meeting on the Revised Scheme of Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and the overall performance of PLVs at District Court Complex, here.
During the meeting, Secretary DLSA Bandipora directed all PLVs of District Bandipora to educate people, especially those belonging to weaker sections of the society, about the role of legal services authorities, and impart awareness amongst people about the benefits of settlement of disputes including pre-litigation stage through Lok Adalats, Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration, and make people aware of the benefits of inexpensive settlement of disputes relating to Public Utility Services like P&T, Telephones, Electricity, Water Supply, Insurance and hospital services through Lok Adalat (PLA).
On the occasion the Secretary DLSA also educated the PLVs on how to counsel and amicably settle simple disputes between the parties at the source itself which could save the trouble of the affected travelling all the way to the legal services Authority/ADR Center Bandipora.
The Secretary further directed PLVs to submit monthly reports of their activities to the DLSA Bandipora.
