DC Rajouri visits Ultra-High Density Apricot Orchid at Aitti

DC Encourages farmers to harness Govt schemes in Horticulture sector

Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal on Sunday visited ultra-high-density apricot orchard at Aitti and engaged in a meaningful interaction with the farmers.
During the visit, he highlighted the immense potential of the horticulture and allied sectors, urging the farmers to actively embrace and benefit from the government schemes available to them.
The Deputy Commissioner’s visit to the high-density apricot orchard aimed to promote and showcase the success of innovative agricultural practises among the farming community. Witnessing the impressive results firsthand, Kundal appreciated the efforts put in by the farmers to adopt advanced techniques for enhanced productivity.
The DC emphasised the significance of government schemes and initiatives in the horticulture sector. He urged the farmers to come forward and take advantage of the various programmes designed to support their endeavours, improve their income and uplift their livelihoods.
Recognizing the immense potential of the horticulture sector in Rajouri, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the need for farmers to engage in modern practises, adopt the latest technologies and explore new avenues for market linkages. He assured the farmers of the government’s unwavering support in accessing resources, knowledge and financial assistance through the available schemes.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the administration’s commitment to empower the farming community and transforming the horticulture sector in Rajouri. He urged the farmers to actively participate in training programmes, workshops, and awareness campaigns to enhance their skills and understanding of best practises in horticulture.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed gratitude to the farmers for their relentless efforts in contributing to the agricultural growth of the region. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every farmer, empowering them to achieve greater prosperity and success in the horticulture sector.
The district administration of Rajouri urged farmers to seize the opportunities available and actively participate in the government schemes aimed at boosting the horticulture and allied sectors.
Among the others, Chief Horticulture Officer, Madan Lal; officials of the Horticulture Department and farmers in large numbers were present on the occasion.
