DDC B’pora reviews overall Health scenario in the Distt, Reviews implementation of Kayakalp & NQAS

Bandipora : In order to review the healthcare scenario of the district, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Friday chaired a meeting of the health department officials to review the overall health scenario in the district.
During the meeting, various issues related to the health sector in the district were discussed. The DDC emphasized the need to improve the healthcare facilities and services in the district. He urged the health department officials to work towards achieving the target of providing quality healthcare services to the people.
Dr. Owais also reviewed the progress of various ongoing health projects in the district. He expressed his satisfaction with the progress made so far and directed the officials to ensure that these projects are completed within the stipulated time.
The DDC on the occasion took stock of available facilities, staff strength, in position doctors, paramedical staff, etc, in all three subdivisions of the district.
He also reviewed infrastructure facilities available in DH Bandipora, CHCs, PHCs, and other health care institutions in rural areas.
Dr. Owais urged health functionaries to come up to the expectations of the patients and focus on providing the best services and making accessible, affordable health care in the district available for the patients.
During the meeting, Dr Owais conducted a review meeting to assess the progress of the implementation of Kayakalp and National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) in the district.
The DDC emphasized the need for proper implementation of Kayakalp and NQAS to ensure that the healthcare facilities in the district are providing quality services to the people. He also urged the health officials to work towards achieving the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the health facilities.
During the meeting, the CMO presented a report on the progress of the Kayakalp initiative and the NQAS program in the district. The report highlighted the achievements and challenges faced by the health department in the implementation of these progra
The BMOs also presented their reports on the progress made in their respective blocks. They highlighted the challenges they faced in implementing the programs and suggested measures to overcome them.
The DDC directed the health officials to work towards improving the infrastructure of the health facilities in the district. He also stressed the need for better coordination among the health officials at all levels to ensure the effective implementation of Kayakalp and NQAS.
He reiterated the commitment of the administration to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Bandipora.
The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer Coordination Bandipora, Mohd Ashraf Hakak; ACR Bandipora, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Bandipora, Block Medical Officers (BMOs), and other officials from the health department.
