Shopian : In order to listen and redress the grievances/issues of people at their doorsteps, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb on Wednesday presided over the weekly Block Diwas programme at Gagren, Shopian.
Among others, the programme was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian Yar Ali Khan, besides district/sectoral officers, PRIs and general masses of various areas.
During the programme, various public issues, demands and grievances were put forth by public representatives and people of the villages including Ramnagri, Chotipora, Heerpora, Gagren, etc.
DDC heard all projected grievances patiently and issued directions for resolving the issues on priority. Many grievances were addressed on spot while assuring people that the rest of the grievances will be redressed in a time bound manner.
Officers present at the venue also responded to various queries and issues raised by the people.
The DDC instructed officers to resolve the public grievances and prioritise other developmental requirements flagged-off by the people. He also instructed concerned to keep an account of issues raised during the public outreach camp.
Later, the DDC visited Nagbal area of the district and paid obeisance at Tirath Raj Kapil Mochan Temple.
