Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray on Friday visited Trumnard Batpora in Haihama area to condole the demise of 8-year old Abrar Ahmad Qureshi S/o Farooq Ahmad Qureshi who died in a road accident at Mougalpora Kupwara on April 27.
The DC offered his condolences with the bereaved family and prayed for courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Dr Sagar was accompanied by Tehsildar Kupwara, Nayaz Ahmad Bhat and officers from local Army unit and Police.
Pertinently, 8 year old Abrar Ahmad Qureshi was hit by a motor cycle at Mughalpora crossing when he was returning to Parrynard at his aunt’s home from school.
Locals immediately rushed the injured boy to SDH Kupwara where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police has taken cognizance of the accident case and registered an FIR.
