DDC Doda discusses formulation of Capex Budget Plan for 2023-24

Doda : The District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, on Friday chaired a meeting of district officers to discuss the finalization of the District Capex Budget plan for 2023-24.
During the meeting, the DDC directed CMO to complete pending works of Sub Centres Dhareja, Gondow and Tendla. He was further directed to upgrade facilities at health institutions on National Highway like Assar, Prem Nagar, Thathri and Bhadarwah by providing Biochemistry Analyser, USG and X-ray machines.
The SE PWD was directed not to take any road project where land is not available. Further, the departments were specifically directed not to take up new works which can spill over to the next financial year.
The CEO Doda was directed to revisit the already submitted Action Plan and specifically mention the proposed repair and renovation works to rule out expenditure on unnecessary and unimportant works.
The ADDC was directed to supervise the planning in respect of the Elementary Education after verification of each proposed work through virtual mode.
He also emphasised the importance of combining similar works for single tendering to avoid delays and lapses in funding.
The departments were directed to focus on projects that would benefit the maximum number of people and could be completed within a stipulated time frame. The DC also advised the departments to use convergence to execute desired works within limited resources.
In view of the requests received from the DDC and BDC chairpersons, the ADDC Doda (Chief Executive Officer of District Development Council) was directed to convene Council meeting in a week’s time for discussion of PRI plans and for finalization of plans under ADF.
The concerned departments were asked to advise the PRIs, DDCs, BDCs to propose works in the Education and Health sectors.
Among those present in the meeting were Additional District Development Commissioner, SE PWD, Jal Shakti Department, JPDCL, ACD, CEO, CPO, Executive Engineers of PWD & JSD, DYSSO and EO MCs.
