JK Bank Chairman pays homage at Dargah Hazratbal, inaugurates ATM

Srinagar: J&K Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmad Monday paid obeisance at Dargah Hazratbal Shrine while he was on his way to Kashmir University to hand over the keys of two electric cars for specially abled students to the University authorities.

On the occasion, the Imam of Dargah Syed Mohammad Farooqi performed his dastaarbandi in presence of the Administrator Waqf Board Masood-ul-haq, Naatkhwaan Gulzar Ahmad and other office bearers of the shrine. At the shrine, Chairman was accompanied by Executive President S S Sehgal, President and Special Secretary P K Tickoo, Zonal Head Manzoor Hussain, Cluster Head, Shahzad Hussain, Head Business Unit Kashmir University Campus Showkat Makhdoomi and other senior officers of the bank.

Thanking the Chairman for his maiden visit to the shrine, Imam Dargah Syed Mohammad Farooqi said that it was the first visit to Dargah by any Chairman of J&K Bank in the history.

After offering prayers at the shrine, Chairman made a commitment to provide a state-of-the-art ambulance for Dargah, install water dispensers at relevant points for unending visitors to the shrine and install directions boards at strategic locations in the precincts of the shrine. The boards shall be carrying important messages and other guidelines for the devotees.

On the occasion, Parvez Ahmed also inaugurated an Automated Teller Machine opposite to one of the gates of Dargah amid huge gathering of bank’s valuable customers, traders, senior citizens and other locals. It was the bank’s 238th ATM in the Kashmir Central Zone and the bank’s 1128th ATM in general.

Chairman interacted with the locals on the sidelines of the event and assured them of bank’s complete support and world class services in future also. He on the spot announced installation of a Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) in the area soon. The locals hailed the commissioning of second ATM in the area as it will meet the growing rush of visitors to a large extent.
