Training on Spl Summary Revision held at Shopian

Shopian : A day long Training Programme on Special Summary Revision 2023 of electoral rolls presided over by ERO-36 (SDM) Zainapora was held at CFC Zainapora.
The programme was attended by all ERO’s (Tehsildars), BLO Supervisers & BLO’s of 36 Zainapora Assembly Constituency. Concerned ICDS Supervisors & Asha Coordinator Shopian also participated in the meeting.
ERO-36 (SDM Zainapora) directed the participants to carry out the special revision exercise in close coordination and as a team as per latest guidelines of ECI. Besides, he said observations, lacunae which were found in the previous revision must also be rectified.
Progress report from all BLO’s regarding addition, deletion and transposition etc shall reach ERO office on daily basis before 03:00 p.m, he directed.
Similar Programme was held at Mini Secretariat which was Chaired by ERO-37 (ACR), Shopian, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha.
On this occasion, ACR explained about the process of prescribed forms under ongoing Special Summary Revision.
The BLO’S were sensitized to analyze the various gaps in the Electoral Roll and develop a proper mechanism to bridge this gap in the upcoming Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll in the district۔
Dy۔ DEO, Jahangir Ahmed stressed upon the BLO’S to educate people about the eligible criteria and conditions for registration of Electors in Electoral Roll as per the Representation of the People Act, 1950۔
The Master trainers also briefed the participants regarding updation of the data via Form 6, 6A, 6B, for 7 and Form 8.
An interactive session was also held to clear the doubts regarding enrollment process and other relevant queries۔
The staff of Dy۔ DEOs office and other concerned also attended the said training programme۔
