B’pora Admin conducts training on Spl Summary Revision

Bandipora : The Bandipora administration on Tuesday organised a daylong training programme on Special Summary Revision and SVEEP activities for Supervisors and Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of the district at MC Bandipora.
The training programme was presided over by Deputy District Election Officer Noorudin Bhat while ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, nodal Officer SVEEP Mohammed Rafiq were present on the occasion.
The programme was also attended by Master Trainers, officials of Election Department, Supervisors and BLOs of Bandipora District.
Speaking on the occasion, the Dy. District Election Officer explained about the processing of prescribed forms under ongoing Special Summary Revision.
He said the objective of the programme was to sensitize the booth level officers regarding their role in the upcoming special summary revision being undertaken with reference date of 1st Jan 2023.
The master trainers briefed the participants regarding updation of the data via Form 6, 6A, 6B, Form 7 and Form 8.
It was informed that form 6 is exclusively for registration of new electors, Form 6A for inclusion of name in electoral roll by an overseas elector, Form 6B for capturing Aadhaar no. by existing electors, Form-7 for objection to proposed inclusion/deletion of name in existing electoral roll with a slight modifications that a provision of attaching death certificate has been incorporated and Form 8 for correction in electoral roll, shifting of residence (within or outside constituency), replacement of EPIC and marking of a person with disability.
They also explained the role of supervisor and BLOs in checking the prerequisites before processing the prescribed for
Regarding SVEEP activities, the Dy DEO deliberated upon various awareness measures. It was stressed upon BLOs to undertake the task of spreading awareness along with the current Special Summary Revision exercise.
An interactive session was also held to clear the doubts regarding enrollment process and other relevant queries. Similar programmes were organized at Sub division sumbal and Gurez.
