Bandipora :: The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora who is also the District Election Officer Bandipora on Monday chaired a meeting of officers to review the status of progress of special summary revision (SSR) in the district.
The meeting discussed various provisions and achievable parameters of SSR with the reference date of 1st April, 2023, and the progress achieved till date.
Dr Owais stressed upon the concerned to work in tandem and take concrete steps on maximum registration of the new eligible voters. He asked the concerned officers to intensify the efforts for fulfilling the target of SSR.
He also stressed on enhancing awareness activities under SVEEP and directed EROs, AEROs to coordinate with DyDEO and college authorities of the district for organising registration camps, intensified SVEEP activities and to conduct door to door surveys.
DEO Bandipora also directed the officers associated with SSR to ensure that the exercise is completed within the stipulated period of time with 100 percent enrollment of eligible people who have attained the prescribed age of voting.
The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer coordination M A Hakaak and other senior officers of the district.
