Srinagar/Sept,9:An army man was injured in a scuffle with a colleague in Ajas area of Bandipora in north Kashmir late Friday.
However, army said that the soldier was injured after his service rifle went off accidentally.
Sources said that the soldier, identified as Ashish Kumar of 13 RR suffered injuries during a scuffle with his colleague.
He was shifted to 92 Base Hospital in Badami Bagh in Srinagar for treatment, they said.
An army official, however, denied the reports of scuffle.
“An army patrol was out in the area during late night hours for area domination. The army man misfired and was hit by a bullet in his leg during the patrolling,” he said.
