Srinagar : Police on Tuesday under Civic Action Program distributed computer systems and water dispensers among institutions, orphanages and religious places in District Ganderbal.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the special event was organised at DPL Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar was the chief guest. Besides, Addl. SP Ganderbal Feroz Yeyha, SDPO Kangan, DySP PC Ganderbal & other senior Police officers were also present on the occasion.
On the occasion, SSP Ganderbal distributed computer systems to those institutions where orphans, poor and needy students receive education. Moreover, various religious shrines/places of the district were also facilitated with water dispensers so that pilgrims visiting them can feel comfortable during melas & festivals.
The SSP Ganderbal on this occasion interacted with the beneficiaries and assured them all possible support from Police department to make their educational institutions & religious places model ones. While interacting with them, he also said that the students should be given modern education as well as access to technology. On this occasion, he also laid stress on the education of orphans & specially abled students and asked the beneficiaries of these institutions to take good care of them. He further stated that Police department will always play its eminent role in providing every possible support to the needy people. He also asked the beneficiaries not to allow the student’s poverty and orphanage to fall prey off ignorance & illiteracy.
While concluding the event, the SSP Ganderbal ensured all the beneficiaries that J&K Police will always stay active in their lives in pursuing their good & genuine demands.
