Srinagar : Police on Monday said that while acting on specific inputs Police teams along with sleuths of Army (1RR) busted a militant hideout in Rakh Momin Dangi area of Bijbehara Anantnag and also recovered arms and ammunition from the site.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police that along with sleuths of Army (1RR) police launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) during the intervening night of 12th-13th of March 2023 in Rakh Momin Dangi area Bijbehara of Anantnag , Stating therein further that during the search operation, the joint teams of police and army busted a hideout of LeT militant out and recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 05 IED’s (PTD’s programmed timer devices) and RCIEDs, 6 Detonators, 3 Pistols, 5 Pistol Magazines, 124 (09mm) rounds, 4 remote controls & 13 batteries.
Stating that all the recovered materials have been taken into custody, Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No. 58/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara and further investigation is in progress.
