DDC Kulgam reviews arrangements for celebrations of Int’l Day for Forests-2023

Kulgam : In order to review arrangements and preparations made by the Department of Forest in the district for celebration of International Day for Forests-2023, a meeting of officers from Forest Department was held Friday under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini-secretariat, here on Friday.
During the meeting, the DC directed the officers to ensure full participation of all stakeholders for successful celebration of International Day of Forests (IDF) 2023 which will be observed with the theme “Forests and Health” this year.
He also stressed to chalk out the program from 15th to 30th March 2023 and set target to Department for planting more than one lakh saplings in Kulgam to mark the celebration of International Day of Forests 2023.
The meeting was attended DFO Kulgam Syed Waseem and representatives from Social Forestry Kulgam and other stake holders.
