Rajouri : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, Monday chaired a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the successful conduct of Lt Governor’s Special Governance camp for West Pakistan Refugees (WPRs).
In the meeting, detailed deliberations were held regarding various arrangements for the smooth and successful conduct of the camps for the displaced persons at designated locations.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC underlined the objective of the camps, emphasizing that the primary focus of these camps is to ensure that all WPRs are registered under various schemes and programs of the Union and J&K Government.
He also asked the concerned stakeholders to work in tandem and synergise their efforts for the smooth and successful conduct of the camps to achieve the desired objectives of the camps.
The DC stressed on the importance of effective coordination among various departments and agencies involved in the arrangements, such as the health department, police, transport department, and local administration.
He also emphasized on the need for proper communication with the displaced persons to ensure that they receive adequate support at the camps.
The Lt Governor’s camp for WPRs will be held shortly at designated locations in Rajouri district. The camps aim to provide basic facilities and assistance, including health checkups, medical aid, counseling, and support for education, employment and livelihood opportunities, to WPRs.
