SrinagarSep,7: Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was placed under house arrest on Thursday, said a spokesman.
He said that the Mirwaiz was placed under detention at his Nigeen residence.
His house arrest comes a day after he, along with Syed Ali Geelani and Yasin Malik, announced to march to NIA headquarter in New Delhi and court arrest there.
