Jammu : Cultural Committee of GGM Science College, in collaboration with Department of Information and Public relations, organized a symposium on the topic “Cultural Practices for Sustainable Environment” under the patronage of the College Principal Prof Rajesh Kumar Gupta and guidance of Convener Culture Committee Prof. BabitaMahajan, here on Tuesday.
The symposium was followed by cultural activities like singing and flute playing. The artists of the Cultural unit of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) presented Dogri songs and Gazals.
All the members of the Cultural Committee and a large number of students participated in the event judged by Dr. VandanaKhajuria, HOD English, DrPoonamKamotra, HOD Chemistry and Prof. PreetiDogra, HOD EVS.
The Participants highlighted that the cultural practices have a critical role to play in promoting a sustainable environment so that ‘we can create a healthier and more vibrant world for future generations.’
In the symposium, Simaranjeet of Semester I won Ist prize, AyushParihar of Semester 1st clinched 2nd prize and 3rd prize was bagged by Drishti of Semester I.
The students performed very well and the event was a great success. The whole event was organised by Prof. ShdhaAnand. The event was coordinated by DrNeetiChhibber and Prof. MehnazBano. The program was anchored by RahilBhat student of semester 5th and Drishti Gupta students of Semester 1st.
