Ramban : Agriculture Department Rambanon Friday provided Power Tillers to four progressive farmers of Batote on 50% subsidy under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) during an awareness camp held by Agriculture Extension Office, Batote as part of the farm mechanisation process of Government to increase farmers’ income.
The Tillers provided include 3 7HP costing Rs.90000 and one of 9HP costing Rs.1.10 lakh in market.
On the occasion, the farmers were also educated about the various CS schemes like Holistic Agriculture Development Programme, Integrated Farming, One District One Product, PM SinchaiYojna, Mushroom Cultivation, Organic Farming, Polyhouse farming, hybrid seeds, soil testing and Kissan Credit Card etc.
The programme was presided by the District Agriculture Officer (DAO), Ravi Sharma in presence of Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, SudhirManhas and local PRIs.
AEO Ravinder Sing, AEA, Satveer Singh and AEA, Ramneek Singh also educated the farmers.
