Block Diwas: DC G’bal chairs grievance redressal camp at Fraw Haknar Gund

Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambiron Wednesday chaired a public grievances redressal camp at Panchayat Ghar Fraw Haknar of Block Gund.
The programme witnessed overwhelming participation of PRIs, elders and local youth delegations from adjacent villages of block Gund including Surfraw, Ganiwan, Hariganwan, Gagangeer, Sumbal Bala, Checkigund and raised their demands with the DC.
On the occasion, the delegations apprised the DC about various issues and raised several demands of public importance especially augmentation of basic facilities including, completion of Sumbalbala to Checkigund road under PMGSY, Sub-Division offices at Block Gund, upgradation of PHC Gund, commissioning of Degree College Gund, Play Ground, Education Zone for block Gund, Medical Aid Centre at Salbal Village, upgradation of old water Supply Schemes, upgradation of roads, construction of bridge over Nallah Sindh near Surfraw and others.
The DC gave them patient hearing and assured all their genuine demands shall be addressed on priority.
The DC fixed the deadlines for redressal of genuine demands raised by the locals and instructed officers to ensure execution of essential works on priority.
While replying to the issues and demands, the DC said that district administration is making all efforts to provide all basic amenities at the doorsteps of the people especially living in far flung and such tough terrains so they may not suffer due to paucity of such facilities.
On the occasion, the DC also took assessment of facilities related to line departments being provided to locals and gave on spot instructions to the concerned to ensure improvement and better facilities to locals.
The programme was attended by ADC, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; CPO, IrfanGiri; SDM Kangan, Javaid Ahmad Rather; ACD, Dr. Bashir Ahmad; CMO, Executive Engineers from all Engineering Wings and other district and sectoral officers.
