DDC Kupwara reviews progress of developmental projects

DM directs officers for completion of all ongoing projects within stipulated timelines

Kupwara: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray on Wednesday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of various ongoing developmental projects being executed by JK Housing Board in Kupwara district.
Managing Director JK Housing Board, Shabir Ahmad was also present in the meeting.
On the occasion, the DDC took a detailed review of all ongoing developmental projects and got a detailed feedback from the concerned officers regarding the status of different projects being executed across the district.
The DDC stressed upon the executing agencies and concerned officers to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed within the stipulated timelines without any laxity.
Reviewing the construction of District Hospital Handwara, the DDC was informed that expenditure of Rs.4252.45 lakh has been incurred on the construction of the hospital building (G+5 storey) which will be completed by July this year.
Regarding construction of 50 Bedded District Ayush Hospital Kulangam, it was informed that out of Rs.275 lakh funds released; Rs.270 lakh expenditure have been incurred on the project which shall be completed by next month.
The DDC took a review of various other projects including construction of District Court Complex Kupwara, Residential School Kupwara, GB Hostel Kupwara, Shelter Shed at Kupwara, Officers Lounge, Girls Hostel GDC Women Kupwara, and Veterinary Hospital cum LDO Office Handwara. Besides, he reviewed progress of construction of various Primary Health Centres including PHC Devar, PHC Hajinar, PHC Kalaroose and PHC Nowgam.
During the review of PMAY (U), it was informed that 2296 houses have been sanctioned in all 3 Municipalities of the district out of which 561 houses have been completed so far.
Principal GMC Handwara, Dr. Iffat Hassan Shah; JD Planning, AbMajeed, CMO, MS District Hospital, District Ayush Officer, DGM JKHB, EOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
