DGP sanctions Scholarship of over Rs 9 lacs for 172 Wards of Police Personnel

Jammu: Director General J&K Police Dilbag Singh on Saturday sanctioned meritorious scholarship of Rs eight lacs in favour of 149 wards of serving Police personnel who have secured 80% and above marks in the Annual examination of Class 10th and Class 12th during the Academic Session 2021-22. He has also sanctioned scholarships of Rs 1.15 lacs in favour of 23 wards of deceased Police personnel.
According to a statement issue from Police Media Centre, PHQ J&K Jammu meritorious scholarship of Rupees 6000/- each has been sanctioned in favour of 36 wards who have secured more than 90% marks in the annual examination of class 10th while 46 students who have secured 80% and above marks in the examination has been given scholarship of rupees 4000/- each. Similarly meritorious scholarship of Rs 7200/- each has been sanctioned in favour of 22 wards who have secured more than 90% marks in the annual examination of class 12th and rupees 6000/- each has been sanctioned in favour of 45 wards who have secured 80% and above marks.
The DGP has also sanctioned a scholarship of rupees 1.15 lacs in favour of 23 wards of deceased Police personnel who have passed away while in service due to natural/accidental death. The scholarship has been sanctioned for the wards studying in different classes from LKG to graduation for the academic session 2020-21 and the amount sanctioned ranges between rupees five thousand to ten thousand.
