Jammu/Sep,4: Three mysterious incidents of hair chopping have triggered panic among residents, especially females, in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said that the first incident was reported from Ward eight of the town when hair of a woman was chopped while she was in the washroom of her house around 11:30 pm on September 1.
In a similar incident on Sunday, a married woman fell unconscious near her house in Patrara locality of Sunderbani town. “As she regained consciousness, she found her hair mysteriously chopped off,” said an official.
The third incident was reported from Salani area of Rajouri town when an aged woman, Kamlesh Kumari, wife of Om Parkash, fell unconscious on the verandah of her house.
Her hair was also mysteriously chopped off.
“She was in a state of mental pressure and fear after the incident and was taken to hospital,” her family said.
Police has launched an investigation into all the three incidents.
