Doda: Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in its effort to provide fair, transparent, and time-bound delivery of services to the citizens has fully switched over to e-governance.
In this regard, District Administration Doda Friday organized a virtual hands-on training programme for the general public, in collaboration with the NIC and technical experts of all the departments.
The day-long training for usage of online services of various departments was hosted through the ADBHUT Doda portal and was also aired live on the Facebook page of District Administration Doda and from other social media platforms.
Technical experts of Revenue, Health, Industries, Social Welfare, Mining, Election, Education, and other departments gave detailed demonstrations on the use of all the services from e-Unnat platform.
The district administration has decided that the virtual training on usage of online services shall be held weekly by the departments to train the people at the grassroots level.
During the hands-on training, citizens were sensitised about 400 plus online services being offered by the Government, Rapid Assessment System (RAS) for real-time feedback, UMANG platform for mobile Governance, Digi-locker for safe and secure storage space, MySchemes for central repository of government schemes, portals such as e-Unnat, Janbhagidari, ApkiZameenApkiNigrani etc.
The programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan. He informed that e-Governance is penetrating down to the Panchayat level, and training and capacity-building programs such as this are imperative to ensure the percolation of these online services to every citizen of the district.
The DC stressed that officers should extend hand holding to the beneficiaries for applying online, conduct such programmes in all the pockets of the district, and ensure that the common people are not exploited by the CSCs and vendors for submitting their applications online.
