The Internet is a worldwide network of computers, linking many different types of computers all over the world. Through Internet, we can do many things just by staying at home. At the present, generation Internet has become a common thing among people. Today, everyone uses Internet whether they are old, adult or children. Internet has its own advantages as well as disadvantages, however, it depends upon us how we use the Internet. If we talk about disadvantages of Internet, there are many disadvantages of the Internet. It can cause many problems not only in our society but all over the world. The first disadvantage is the Internet addiction. It is increasing day by day among adults and children. Two or three years old children can’t even take their meals without watching apps like the YouTube. When people are addicted to it, they become lazy and don’t want do anything. They always feel fatigued and lose focus on their studies. If talk of adults when their screen timing increases, they can’t do anything properly. As a result they are involved in brawling, unnecessary discussions, etc. Internet provides us misleading information and misleading information contains rumours, which we trust blindly and at the end get swindled badly. If we talk about spams, it is sent through via e-mail, via text message, phone calls and social media, in every year many people get fooled by spams. By using internet frequently, we squander a lot of time by chatting, sending memes all day, using apps time and again. It causes many problems like concentration lapse. The youth doesn’t stop using Internet at nights. It can cause serious problems like heart problems and high blood pressure.
When they wake up, they feel irritating, drowsy all day. Using Internet we disconnect ourselves from the real world. We don’t feel to go anywhere, if someone is ailing we just call him on phone but we should remember that interacting with people online differs massively from the real life interaction. Internet has left a bad impact on our relations. Children play online games which is a huge concern for parents. They don’t do any outdoor activities which causes in them low communication skills. They become socially isolated and today many children are suffering from anxiety, headache, etc. There are so many entertainment options available on the Internet that can make a student distracted from their studies. Adult contents are easily available on the Internet even though adult websites try to limit access to the minors. We should reduce screen timing by doing other things like doing home chores while staying at home, play outdoor, reading books, etc. Parents should keep an eye on their children while they use the Interne. We should no let two or three year old children use the Internet rather than we should give them educational toys. We should be aware of spams and the misleading information. Last but not least we should mitigate Internet usage as much as possible. Everyone must do his or her bit in this endeavour.
