DC Kupwara reviews progress of RDD works, sets timelines for their completion

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Dr. DoifodeSagarDattatrayon Monday convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress of ongoing developmental works under various Rural Development schemes.
The DC reviewed work wise status of developmental works and other schemes and received updated status and feedback from the officers.
Addressing the meeting, the DC directed the officers to work with added dedication to accelerate the developmental tempo and ensure completion of all ongoing works within the stipulated time frame. He gave timelines for completion of different developmental works and directed the BDOs to ensure field visits for proper inspection.
Reviewing the status of new works under CD Panchayats, the DC was informed that 191 works have been tendered, out of which 77 have been physically completed at an expenditure of Rs. 283 lakh so far. Rest of the work is in progress.
In addition, it was informed that out of 62 Spill Over works under CD Panchayats, 28 have been completed at an expenditure of Rs.28.36 lakh.
Reviewing the Border Area Development Plan, it was informed, 72 Spill Over works at an estimated cost of Rs.335.91 lakh are in progress out of which 53 works have been completed so far and 19 works are under progress and are near completion.
The DC while reviewing the status of developmental works being carried out under Area Development Fund (ADF) was informed that 1080 works have been tendered out of which 508 works have been physically completed so far with an expenditure of Rs.1496.30 lakh.
It was further informed that out of 392 Spill Over works under ADF, 189 have been completed with an expenditure of Rs.532.45 lakh.
Under PMAY (G) 2021-22 first installment has been released to 3292 beneficiaries; second installment to 2200 and 3rd installment to 684 beneficiaries in the district, the meeting was informed.
It was further informed that Aadhaar seeding of 187841 beneficiaries has been done so far constituting 96.83%.
The DC also reviewed the status of AmritSarovar, Solar Lights, Amphitheater and Soakage Pits.
JD Planning, ACD Kupwara, BDOs and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
