Jammu : Reacting sharply to the statement of National Conference Vice President and former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the conduct of assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir the J&K BJP Spokesman Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta on Tuesday said that Omar has used diplomatic skilled he learnt from BJP over the demand for assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Brigadier (Retd) Anil Gupta s said “@OmarAbdullah statement that election is our right but won’t beg for it is the diplomatic way of saying we don’t want elections. For once Omar has used his diplomatic skills that he learnt kind courtesy BJP. @BJP4India @JKNC_ @ashishsood_bjp @AshokKoul59”. It may be mentioned here that Omar Abdullah was Minister of State For External Affairs in the Attal Bihari Vajpayee led BJP Government in late nineties as National Conference was then a coalition partner of BJP led NDA Government at the Centre. Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that his party (National Conference) won’t beg for election as people of Jammu & Kashmir reserve the right to have a popular government through elections.
