DHEW-Mission Shakti B’gam conducts Awareness Prog at Gopalpora Chadoora

Srinagar : The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW)- Mission Shakti Budgamon Monday raised awareness on different schemes like Pension schemes, Scholarship schemes, Prosthetic Aids, SMAS etc. among public and PRI representatives at Gopalpora, Chadoora.
It also highlighted the working and functioning of the District Social Welfare department at district level.
The team threw light on Women empowerment schemes available at District level such as DHEW, OSC, WHL 181, Shelter Home, Marriage Assistance Scheme, Ladli Beti, PMMVY, Employment generation schemes such as Tajeswani, Mumkin, PMEGP, etc
DHEW team provided awareness regarding updated Schemes , criteria and documentation.
The team also gave detailed information on how DLCW-Mission Shakti is playing an effective role by providing awareness/training among young female folks to generate self-employment by taking advantage of available schemes at District level.
The team also raised awareness on Drug Addiction, Ill effects, treatment under the banner ‘NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan’.
The programme was attended by local women, sarpanchs, panchs, children and the team Special Cell for Women and One Stop Centre Budgam.
