On the occasion, the Assistant Labour Commissioner Ganderbal said that the Labour Department Ganderbal has received around 4600 cases under educational assistance scheme during the year 2021-22 out of which 1700 cases were found deficient for various reasons.
To reach out to these deficient case holders, the department through various means informed the concerned workers to correct their cases for disbursement. Hundreds of workers were also personally telephoned so that the workers could not be deprived of benefits. A total of 339 cases stands rejected due to their non-eligibility for the assistance, he added.
