Chairperson DDC Kishtwar reviews progress of ADP, District Capex Budget 2022-23 works

Kishtwar: District Development Council Chairperson, Kishtwar Pooja Thakur on Thursday reviewed the progress of works/Projects being executed under Area Development Plan, District Capex Budget 2022-23,PRI, BDC and DDC grants and other schemes here in a meeting of District Development Council held in Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
Deputy Commissioner, DrDevanshYadav; Vice Chairperson DCC, SaimaShabir Lone; Additional District Development Commissioner (DDC Chief Executive Officer), Sham Lal; Joint Director Planning, MohdIqbal; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, ZakirHussainWani; Assistant Commissioner Development, AtulDutt Sharma, BDCs, DDCs and BDOs and other district officers attended the meeting.
At the outset, the ADDC/CEO District Development Council gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the physical and financial progress achieved in developmental works being executed under different sectors in the district during the year 2022-23. He briefed the Council about the physical progress of the Area Development plan for the year 2022-23. He apprised that 1858 works have been approved under ADP, out of which 1331 have been completed so far.
Threadbare discussions were held on various aspects which included Physical progress of Area Development plan works, Physical status of District Capex budget and new works, Block Wise Physical/Financial status of works 2022-23 under ADP and other departmental works.
The Chairperson reviewed the scheme/sector wise progress of the works. She stressed upon all the concerned Officers to gear up the process for completion of targets and utilization of 100% funds to avoid lapse. She stressed upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of works. She further stressed on close monitoring of ongoing works to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
Necessary directions were issued to the concerned department for completion of all ongoing projects in stipulated time frame without compromising the quality and leaving no scope for any complaint from any quarter.
The DDC Chairperson also appreciated the work done by District Administration for achieving physical progress under Area Development plan and other sectors.
The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the BDOs and the PRIs to adopt a coordinated approach for effective and transparent execution of developmental works in the district.
Earlier, JD-planning informed that the plan preparation and formulation for the financial year 2023-24 is being taken up from 15th January 2023 with 15th February 2023 as the deadline. He urged the concerned officers and the PRIs to maintain close coordination and prepare/formulate developmental plans for next financial year on a rational and judicious basis.
The BDOs were asked to share the data of the works completed, tendered out and under execution with the respective PRIs to ensure transparency and an enabling environment for development in their respective constituencies/blocks.
During the meeting, BDCs and DDCs raised various issues and demands regarding 14th FC, providing bus service, repairing panchayatghars, roads etc.
