Ashmuqam incident, an eye opener for us

Two days back a man from Ashmuqam in Anantnag district of South kashmir firstly attacked his father by a stick as per reports and wounded him there . Javid Hassan Rather is a deranged person , Nanwai by profession as per saying of his father. It can not be ruled out that he was drunk at the time he attacked his father and later on his mother and few other persons in the vicinity. He brutely attacked them and three among them including his mother died in different hospitals of the district and he has been taken into custody. This is not a first incident of it’s kind. Way back two decades ago two brothers attacked their father in Nadora Kralmad and asssnated him and put his dead body in a cowshed till police came to know.
There are so many cases in which a person attacked many persons in our country but the number was less on this Paradise on Earth. But the graph of such incidents is increasing day by day. There are many factors responsible for such incidents such as unemployment drugabuse detachment from nature disobedience of parents and elders as well as teachers and especially carelessness by parents of mordern generation. In olden days when a grownup child was wandering outside during the day from dawn to dusk and on coming back he was grilled by his parents about remaining out of his home and at times he was punished for this mistake and many a times he was warned not to mix with the bad company. This system is found absent in many mordern parentsresulting their children choose the wrong path as they know nobody will ask us something. But in the case of Ashmuqam thing may be different. After the investigation the truth will come forward.
As everyone is aware that our police is very professional. They handle each problem professionally. This author salutes police department. Of which nature the person is who went on rampage in Ashmuqam. But a big question before the new generation parents is about caring and watch and ward of their small children. Here are few points every parent should take into consideration while caring of children. Donot allow your children to wander in markets unnecessiarly. Remain alert so that your children may not get drug addiction. It is the responsibility of parents as well as teachers. If anyone finds that any child is involved in drug abuse it makes his responsibility to advice him and inform his parents and if found necessary inform the police. Oue police is doing praise worthy job in this regard. They are trying their best to curb this bad menace. Civil societies, social workers in general and every citizen in particular shall keep an eagle’s eye on the children between the age group of 10 to 18 years. Main responsibility of the teacher is to give moral lectures to the children in their schools and in coaching and tuition centers too. Children be made accountable such parwarish should be given to children so that incidents those like Ashmuqam should not be recalled further. I am of the opinion that this age group of children should be tackled professionally.
