Tourism Directorate Jammu organizes series of adventure activities in Sundabani

Rajouri: A one day Adventure Event titled ‘Exploring the Adventure trails of Sunderbani’ was Friday organized by the Directorate of Tourism Jammu in collaboration with District Administration Rajouri here at Sunderbani town.
As part of the initiative, the department organized a bike rally and hiking activity along with camping in the picturesque Sunderbani town.
The Bike Rally was flagged off from the main town Sunderbani by ADC Nowshera, Vinod Behnal, Deputy Director Tourism Jammu, Abdul Jabbar and Satpaul Sharma, Sarpanch Upper Bhajwal B.
The bike rally concluded at Larya Top, approximately 18 KM from the take off point.
A total of 150 bikers participated in the event. Thereafter, a hiking was also organized from Larya Top to Eagle Point and adjoining areas.
Camping at Larya Top was also organised which was appreciated by all the participants and locals. The locals appreciated the efforts of the Tourism Department for organizing such a mega event for the first time in the area.
They presented their local folk dance performances and also merrily sung welcome songs for the visiting guests and tourists.
The visiting guests were received at Larya Top by Sarpanch Sangita Sharma Upper Bhajwal A along with prominent citizens of the area.
It is pertinent to mention here that Tourism Department is continuously organizing adventure activities along with publicity events in different regions of Jammu Division. The event concluded with plantation drive at Larya Top. Among those present on the occasion were Ambika Bali Assistant Director Tourism Rajouri, Aarti BDO Sunderbani, Mumtaz Ahmed Tourist Officer Rajouri, Sanjay Sharma Councillor Sunderbani and other prominent citizens from Sunderbani town.
