Block Diwas held at Panchayat Halqa Nowpora in Block Nagam

ADDC stresses on speedy completion of developmental works

Budgam : The District Administration Budgamon Wednesday held Block Diwas at PanchayatHalqaNowpora in Block Nagam of Chadoora.
The programme was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam, DrAkramullahTak at Sports Field Nowpora.
On the occasion, Chairman BDC Nagam, ShowkatAhamd, PRIs and others from the villages Nowpore, Borwa, Chowdrygund, Banigund, Shopore, Kralwari and other adjacent villages apprised the ADDC about their needs.
After giving patient hearing to the public, the ADDC assured that all genuine demands shall be looked into on priority.
The ADDC said that aRs 7.5 crore project for development of inner road development including inner links has been projected for early approval for better connectivity in the area.
He said that as informed by Irrigation and Flood Control department authorities, Rs. 68 lac project has been approved for the protection work at critical spots and de-siltation work for ApzyariNallah and work on the same shall be started soon.
He instructed CEO Budgam to check feasibility for upgradation of schools and ensure conduct of counseling sessions for students and other better education facilities to students.
He stressed on the speedy completion of ongoing developmental works in all panchayathalqas and instructed concerned to resolve all issues on priority basis, halting the work execution.
ADDC instructed R&B authorities to take up development and macadamization works of roads and bridges for better connectivity to the general public.
He emphasized that better health care facilities including round the clock availability of ambulances at local health centres be assured to locals.
He informed that a mega awareness camp shall be held in Nowpora for registration under self employment schemes and awareness generation about government schemes.
SDM Chadoora, Prince Noorul Hamid who also spoke on the occasion said that all genuine issues shall be taken up with relevant quarters for early redressal.
Meanwhile, various district officers spoke threadbare about their public welfare schemes on the occasion.
SDM Chadoora, CEO, CAHO, CAHO, DSHO, Executive Engineer PDD, BMO, AEEs and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
