ADC Jmu reviews arrangements for Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Prakash Utsav

Jammu : Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Harvinder Singh on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for PrakashUtsav marking the birth anniversary celebration of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 5, 2023.
The ADC sought a detailed brief about arrangements being made by different departments for smooth observance of PrakashUtsav celebrations in the district.
Members of District GurdwaraParbandhak Committee and Nagar Kirtan Committee Rural area Block Marh and Bhalwal were also present in the meeting who briefed the meeting about the requirements for the occasion.
It was informed that on January 3, 2023 a Vishal Nagar Kirtan will be taken out from Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak DevJi, Chand Nagar at 9.30am which will culminate at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu.
Members of the DGPC sought arrangements for drinking water, mobile toilets, security, traffic management, water sprinklers, cleanliness of route, removal of unused or discarded vehicles.
The ADC instructed the officers from concerned departments to assess the requirements and ensure that all kinds of facilities are made available for the auspicious occasion.
He instructed the PDD to ensure curtailment-free power to Gurudwaras and the surrounding areas during the PrakashUtsav celebrations.
The ADC also directed for repair and restoration of street lights on the Gurudwara road.
The meeting was also briefed about traffic and parking plans formulated for hassle-free gathering and smooth celebrations at Guru Nanak DevJiGurudwara Chand Nagar. It was informed that dedicated parking spaces will be made available around the Gurudwara.
It was also said that a dedicated ambulance with a team of doctors and paramedic staff and a medical aid camp will be made available at the Gurudwara on the occasion.
The ADC said the district administration was committed to make the PrakashUtsav celebrations a memorable occasion and is looking forward to providing all possible support and making adequate arrangements in this regard.
ADC, ADM SandeepSeonetra; SP City North, KuldeepHanda; Deputy Director Information, DrVikas Sharma, besides President DGPC, Ranjeet Singh; General Secretary, DGPC Surjeet Singh and senior officers from all concerned departments including PDD, PWD, PHE, Health, Police, Traffic, Fire & Emergency and JMC attended the meeting.
