Srinagar | : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday arrested a drug peddler in Ganderbal and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party led by SHO Police Station Ganderbal under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Ganderbal during cordon and search operation at Gadoora recovered crushed Cannabis with seeds like substance from a Tin Shed of AbMajeed Bhat S/o Gh Mohamad Bhat R/o Buran Pattan A/P Gadoora, Stating therein further that the accused has been arrested for his involvement in the commission of crime and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 334/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up, Police in it’s above referred statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood and reiterated it’s resolve that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law, reiterating therein furthermore that consistent actions against drug peddlers will continue to remain in force with a commitment to continue efforts made to keep society free from the scourge of drug menace.
