Srinagar: Police Tuesday recovered bodies of two youths in mysterious circumstances from Shopian district of South Kashmir.
A police official said that two bodies identified as of Mohammad Athar Mirza of Darhal Rajouri and Umar Sohail of Mohra Rajouri were recovered near Palpora area of Shopian district. He said there were no injury marks on bodies and cause of the deaths is being ascertained.
The official said that on personal search, police recovered syringes, cigarettes, spoon and white powder from the duo. “Police have initiated proceedings under section 174 CrPC,” the police official said, adding that after medico-legal formalities bodies were handed over to families of the duo.(GNS)
