Ganderbal : The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of the Central University of Kashmir conducted the valediction function on the completion of the 15 Days (Pakhwada) program on the “Elimination of violence against women” and Discrimination against Women held from 25th November to 10th December 2022 across all the campuses.
According to statement issued from Public Relations Office Central University of Kashmir here, Vice Chancellor Prof Farooq Ahmad Shah released the report on various programs organized across different campuses. In his remarks, he appreciated the ICC for sensitizing the students, staff and faculty members about the social and legal aspects of Sexual Harassment at the workplace. Speaking on the occasion, Registrar, Prof. M AfzalZargar talked about the importance of women’s role in everyday life and how women have moved ahead in all fields, including academics. Apart from sensitizing the university’s staff, faculty and students, he stressed the need for ICC to take such sensitization programmes outside in the community.
The Vice-chancellor and Registrar appreciated the students who participated in various events and distributed the prizes among the winners. The ICC presiding officer, Dr. Mir Insha Farooq, conducted the program proceedings, and Member Secretary Dr Khalid Wasim presented the vote of thanks.
