DC Kulgam reviews implementation of socio-economic schemes through various Deptts

Kulgam :  The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhaton Saturday chaired a meeting of officers to review implementation of various schemes and programmes by NRLM, Labour, Employment, Tribal and other departments.

During the meeting, the District Manager NRLM informed the chair that under NRLM so far 3249 SHGs have been formed in Kulgam and out of 683 SHGs targeted for the current financial year, 350 have been formed so far.

He added that 443 SHGs have been linked to Banks for credit with 7.43 Crores during the current financial year.

The DC instructed the concerned to utilize online marketing platforms to increase marketing opportunities.

Assistant Director Employment Kulgam informed the chair that the District Level Implementation Committee has approved 225 cases under Mumkin scheme and 81 cases under Tejaswini scheme so far in the district.

148 vehicles have been distributed under the Mumkin scheme with the total on-road price of Rs. 12.06 Crore including 20 percent subsidy amount of Rs. 2.25 Crore and Loan amount of Rs 9.81 Crore, he informed adding, 25 more cases stand sponsored for sanction of loan.

He also said that under the Tejaswini scheme, 16 cases have been disbursed involving Rs 80 lac loan amount and Rs 8 lac subsidy amount.

He added that there is an overwhelming response under the Spurring scheme also and 97 cases have been approved by DLIC so far and 90 cases are under process.

While reviewing the Labour Department, the chair was briefed that in financial year 2021-22 an amount of Rs.5.90 Crore among 7236 beneficiaries under Lower Education Assistance scheme was disbursed and an amount of Rs. 17.50 lakh was disbursed among 35 beneficiaries under Higher Education Assistance Scheme.

Besides, the department disbursed an amount of Rs. 12.30 lakh among 6 beneficiaries under Death Cum Funeral Assistance scheme and also disbursed an amount of Rs. 0.71 lakh among 3 beneficiaries under Chronic Disease Assistance Scheme.

In addition to the above mentioned disbursements the Department has made 643 registrations under Shops & Establishments Act and generated revenue to the tune of Rs 7,03,450.

He added that they have received an amount of Rs. 63.56 lac as Cess and subsequently sent the same to the JKBOCWWB and till date and 154352 registrations under e-Shram have also been done.

Authorities from Women Development Corporation informed the chair that they have sanctioned approximately 1.20 crore in district Kulgam under different schemes including NMDFC, NBCFDC, WEP and Micro Credit schemes.

The meeting was attended by JD-Planning, ALC, A.D Employment, DM WDC, DM NRLM and other officers.
