Bandipora : In order to monitor functioning of the Fair Price Shops (FPSs), ADDC/Nodal officer coordination Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakakon Saturday visited Fair Price Shop, Naz Colony Sector A in Bandipora.
During the visit, the ADDC checked the FPS to oversee their functioning and to ensure conformity of norms by the dealers meant for delivery of food grains, under Public Distribution System (PDS).
The visit was taken in compliance with the directions of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Department of Food and Public Distribution, GoI, under the celebrations of “AzadiKaAmritMahotsav”.
Under the nationwide initiative, it has been decided by the Government to undertake visits to about 5000 FPSs across the country by senior officers in order to significantly enhance the visibility of FPSs, and to boost the morale of the officials/ FPS owners as well as provide confidence to the beneficiaries.
