Police organizes valedictory function of 5th batch of 70 volunteers of Aapda Mitra Volunteers

Jammu : Under the Govt. of India sponsored scheme “Upscalling of AapdaMitra” the J&K Police on Wednesday organised a valedictory function of 5th  batch of 70 volunteers of AapdaMitra Volunteers from districts Udhampur, Kathua, Samba, Ramban, Reasi, and Rajouri at Central Training Institute, KotBhalwal Jammu. The batch of AapdaMitra Volunteers commenced on 26-11-2022 at CTI HG/CD Jammu and was an in-house training of 12 days.

According to a statement issued from Police headquarters during the training programme, Aapda Mitra Volunteers were trained in Emergency operation, and search and rescue for being “Friend in Disaster” as Community first Responder. Moreover Volunteers were also acquainted with Mountaineering Rescue training at Nud-Samba, water Rescue Training at Akhnoor, Fire Fighting Skill Training by Fire and Emergency services, practical demonstrations on Rescue operation at SDRF 2nd Bn.

Police said that similarly, the 6th Batch of 12 days training progamme for Aapda Mitra Volunteers for all districts of Jammu province shall commence at CTI HG/CD Jammu w.e.f 11th  Dec-2022.

The valedictory ceremony was also attended by Randheer Singh, JKPS, SSP I/C Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn accompanied by Mohinder Pal Dy.SP  and Inspector Vishal Dubey. On this occasion merit certificates were distributed among the volunteers. Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement said that the training progamme was supervised by Ashok Kumar Sharma Dy.SP, Principal CTI HG/Cd Jammu who was assisted by  assisted by Inspector SanjeevKalsi,  Sgct. Aman Singh and Sgct. Sohanlal of SDRF 2nd Jammu.
