My Town My Pride’: Sanjeev Verma approves 7 plans for the Dev of Ramban town, Visits Ramban market, interacts with people

Verma also Inspects devt’lworks, participated in GrahParvesh of PMAY-U houses

Ramban :  Commissioner Secretary Forests, Ecology, and Environment, SanjeevVerma and visiting officer to district Ramban on 2nd Day of the ‘My Town My Pride’ on Tuesday finalized the plans for the overall development of the Ramban town.

Commissioner Secretary approved the action plans finalized by the Municipal Council Ramban for City Resource Mobilization, Finance Plan, City Livelihood Plan, City Smart Vending Plan, Green City Plan, City Tourism & Culture Plan, City Beautiful Plan and Plan for Encroachment  Cit presence of the President MC Ramban, SunitaSumbria and Councillors of MC.

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, MussaratIsalm, ADC, HarbansLal Sharma, ACR, Giasul-Haq, CPO Kasturilal, DFO Ramban, Dr Rajan Singh, DFO Batote Kuldeep Singh, TehsildarRafiq Ahmed, CEO MC Surdashan Kumar and other concerned.

After detailed deliberation on the plans,  Verma said that “our focus is to deliver public services at doorsteps, build developmental initiatives on the feedback, cooperation and participation from people and strengthen strong and vibrant local self-governance,”.

“Population of the Ramban town is growing at a rapid pace and it is a central place between Jammu and Kashmir as there is a need for smart and sustainable solutions to urban challenges. The officers must involve people in various initiatives like decongestion, rejuvenation and beautification of the towns. Together, with the active participation of the public, we can transform towns into the vibrant urban market,”  Sanjeev Verma said.

Verma suggested various measures for the development and beautification of the town and asked the district administration to link the local productions with tourism besides developing heritage sites, and religious places of the district to attract tourists to boost the local economy

During second day of “My town My Pride” all the scheduled activities were conducted in the all the three towns by visiting officers wherein number of people participated and gave a message that administration is persistently making efforts to reach at the door steps of people and people are expressing satisfaction by seeing the positive change in the governance.

Commissioner Secretary inaugurated tile work of lanes in ward no 7 besides participating in Grah Parvesh of J&K Sabha beneficiary PMAY–U. He also distributed letters, cheques of PMAY-U instalments and PM-Savnidhi and other certificates among beneficiaries under various schemes.

Later, Sanjeev Verma visited Ramban market and various wards in Municipality besides listening to the grievances highlighted by the councilors and general public including the water filtration plant for wards no-6 and 7, Girls Higher Secondary for the town and High School for Maitra and assured to take up the matter to the Government for timely redressal. He also inspected various projects undertaken by the Municipal Council Ramban and also took on spot status of the undergoing projects.
